Lymington-Keyhaven Nature Reserve

Lymington is an excellent place to take learning outside the classroom. This coastal reserve has a variety of habitats and offers potential for covering a range of subjects and topics including:

  • Geography - coastal processes, people and places
  • Local history and the salt industry
  • Science - seashore and meadow studies, guided walks
  • Art and sensory activities

We are currently developing our schools programme to broaden the range of activities available. If you have a specific requirement, please ask us to tailor something to meet your needs.

Ranger led visits

We can offer a variety of environmental activities for school groups during term time and activities for community groups during school holidays. These activities can be adapted to suit your needs and relate to the National Curriculum.

Self led visits

Field equipment and guides to activities can be booked. Help with planning your visit is also available.

Youth groups

Many of our activities can be adapted to provide fun sessions for other organised groups outside school hours, please call us to discuss options.
