Wartime Farm
Manor Farm has been chosen as the filming location for the next instalment of the BBC’s popular Victorian Farm and Edwardian Farm series – Wartime Farm.
The filming of Wartime Farm started in September and will continue for a year.The programme will focus on the Second World War and all aspects of domestic and farming life of the period, using the farmhouse, farmyard and fields at Manor Farm as their setting.Presenters Peter Ginn, Ruth Goodman and Alex Langlands will be on site exploring how people lived, farmed and cooked food during the Second World War.As part of the filming the cottage living room has been transformed into a 1940’s kitchen with a paraffin stove and contemporary furniture.
