Queen Elizabeth Country Park

Sustainability

" "

Queen Elizabeth Country Park is actively contributing to the efforts to combat climate change. In a practical sense the importance of reducing, reusing and recycling is evident across the site and this is also a common theme of work for the education team.

With over 400 hectares of woodland and a biomass boiler designed to burn wood chip, the site is effectively carbon-neutral as far as its energy use is concerned.
