  • Royal Victoria Park Volunteers

We have a whole range of exciting volunteer experiences to offer in the Park. Our project to tell the story of our heritage and bring Netley Military Hospital alive is creating a number of volunteer roles in interpretation, education and learning, performance, tours and talks, and visitor engagement, and we have an ongoing need for help in other areas across the Park.

If you are interested in making a difference to your park, making new friends, using your skills and learning new ones, please get in touch with Jo Basham, Volunteer Co-ordinator: joanne.basham@hants.gov.uk , telephone 02392 244064.

Friends of Royal Victoria Country Park

The Friends are a group of enthusiastic local people passionate about Royal Victoria Country Park, organising our own projects and events to help raise money to improve the park. We are also becoming increasingly involved with finding new sources of grant money for finding bigger projects to improve the Park’s amenities. In 2008 we secured £7,000 of lottery funding for our Pond Plaza project.

As well as working hard to support the Park, we have a range of social activities - as well as our annual summer BBQ and Christmas Party, we also meet up once a month for a ‘Friends’ meal at a local pub. As a member you will also receive quarterly newsletters with all the latest news.
