Volunteering opportunities at Staunton
Staunton offers a unique opportunity to volunteers of all ages and interests. At Staunton there are over 1,000 acres of parkland, tropical glasshouses, formal gardens and an ornamental farm. In addition to working in these areas we can offer you the opportunity to volunteer in the education service, marketing team, retail, catering and events...
We rely on volunteers to help out with duties that help the Park meet its objectives and provide a quality experience for our visitors.
Why Volunteer at Staunton Country Park?
Volunteering can be a hugely rewarding experience providing opportunities to ….
- meet new people,
- get regular exercise,
- utilise your own skills and learn new ones.
In return for your time and effort we will aim to provide you with a fulfilling and rewarding experience, offer training opportunities and learn new skills.
The work will be as tough or gentle as you choose; you will work in all weathers so imagination, improvisation skills and commitment are required, as well as some wet weather gear!
What can I do as a volunteer?
As part of your induction you will be trained in all of the general duties available but this does not mean you have to do all of them. It may be that you have a specific interest in a particular area and wish to spend your time carrying out duties relevant to this, or you may not be suited to some of the duties.
