We aim to support people with disabilities and complex care needs in experiencing what Staunton has to offer, but if you have any concerns or questions about your visit that we haven’t covered please contact us.
3 disabled parking bays are available in the car park.
Disabled visitors will be charged the concessionary rate, and one carer can be admitted free.
There are 3 accessible toilets – in the Visitor Centre, the Tearooms, and the Courtyard toilet block.
Changing Places toilet – please ask a member of staff for the key
We have recently also installed a Changing Places toilet in the Visitor Centre for visitors with severe learning or other disabilities.
A Changing Places toilet provides more space for a disabled person’s carers or support staff to help them with their toileting needs, and to maintain their dignity and privacy.
There is more space for additional equipment than in a standard accessible toilet including a ceiling hoist, a height adjustable changing bed and a centrally located toilet, accessible from both sides.
There are accessible gravel paths throughout the Farm, Gardens and Country park.
There is a small sensory garden behind the Victorian glasshouses which has plants with a range of textures, colours and smells.
