What is the contract?

It is a complete solution for your school or office

The Office and Technology Solutions contract provides technical, environmental and financial information, plus the supply and installation arrangements which are set to Best Value standards. The contract brings together a wide range of tested and economic photocopiers, multi-functional devices (MFDs*), printers, scanners, print room equipment, software and technical support. County Supplies has been successfully providing all of these individual facilities to its customers for a long time, but the Office and Technology Solutions contract provides them all in one comprehensive call-off arrangement.

* Multi-functional devices (MFDs) are networked photocopiers/printers which incorporate optional scanning and faxing facilities, therefore, reducing the number of individual machines required for the modern office.

What the contract provides

The contract provides a full range of mono and colour equipment from small desktop devices capable of copying, printing, scanning and faxing up to large reprographics and print room devices with multiple finishing options. Under this contract our suppliers can also offer a range of accounting and management software to maximise the use of assets and to lower costs. It also offers a document solutions consultancy service for the larger multi-user environment.

You have the option to either rent or purchase the machines. If you choose to purchase you take ownership of the machine so are responsible for insurance and disposing of it when no longer required. However, with rental it is the supplier’s responsibility to insure and dispose of the machine. Rental means that the cost of the machine is spread over a period of 3 or 4 years. You are committed to the machine for this minimum period. Regardless of whether you purchase or rent you will be charged a cost per copy which covers all toner, servicing, parts, staples and preventative maintenance. This allows you to accurately budget how much each printed page will cost.
