The Countryside Code
When cycling in the countryside it is important to know where you can go and what you should do in certain situations.
As a cyclist, you can for example use bridleways and byways (including restricted byways) but not footpaths. You must also give way to horse-riders and walkers if you meet them on a bridleway.
Natural England has more information about the Countryside Code on their website. If you cycle on road you should familiarise yourself with the Highway Code.
