Start  Micheldever Woods car park, near East Stratton, off the A33, 6 miles north of Winchester. Grid ref. 529363.

An easy-going trail which uses part of the Wayfarer’s Walkand takes in the villages of East Stratton and Woodmancott.

Places of Interest
Micheldever Wood is an ancient woodland believed to have been established in Saxon times. A variety of archaeological sites, including Bronze  Age burial monuments and Roman fields, can be explored on foot by following the Archaeological Trail which starts in the car park. Please do not cycle in Micheldever Woods. The Grange, Northington. ½ mile west of Abbotstone Down car park. Restored remains of an important Georgian neoclassical country house. Abbotstone Down. Downland and woodland picnic site with historic earthworks.
