The Queen's Diamond Jubilee Celebrations
Marking 60 years of the Queen’s reign the celebrations both nationally and in Hampshire culminated in an extended holiday weekend from 2 – 5 June 2012.
In Hampshire the Lord-Lieutenant and Hampshire County Council encouraged people and organisations to celebrate The Queen's Diamond Jubilee with a variety of county-wide and local events.
Diamond Jubilee Film from Castle Hill Junior School
The Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire, Dame Mary Fagan, meets pupils from Castle Hill Junior School in Basingstoke. Plant an oak tree
Hampshire County Council’s major Diamond Jubilee initiative is to encourage the planting of thousands of commemorative oak trees across Hampshire as a lasting legacy to 60 years of The Queen’s reign.
