Eastleigh Museum for families

Why not spend a hour or so at the museum with your children!

There are plenty of things for families to do as you visit the museum and special exhibitions gallery.

There is sometimes a seasonal museum trail, especially in school holidays. And there is always a green tray full of Family Games to play – fun ways to get you looking at our collections in a very different way. Recently we have also added an interactive activity about Eastleigh’s past, where children build up the history of the town by adding carriages to a train.

We also run a regular programme of family friendly activity days, often with a make and take element. These are usually on Thursdays in the school holidays and are always in the What’s On guide.

Inspired by our collections, local history or changing programme of exhibitions, there is plenty to do and always something new!

Babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers

For younger visitors, we have a train carriage full of toys, and once a term we try to run Museums for Beginners workshops so check What’s On.
