Appreciative Inquiry Consultation Events

Hampshire County Strategy Group for Community Safety has held three consultation events during July 2009, which provided partners the opportunity to have their say and influence outcomes of the review process.

Consultation Process

The initial consultation took several forms to ensure that all stakeholders were able to contribute. The following processes applied to the initial consultation phase and may be adapted to future elements of the review process:

  • a survey which enabled all stakeholders to feed in their views on the various themes;

  • "Appreciative Inquiry" events to support this process;

  • members of the Commissioning Board, Themed Paper authors and other colleagues were available to discuss the consultation at local CDRP's, LSP's and Supporting People District Inclusive Forums;

  • a re-structured Strategic Review Information Pack [SRIP] to support the themed papers

  • all requests, additional information or consultation feedback can continue to be provided direct to communitysafetyteam@hants.gov.uk; alternatively, contact the team on 01962 833695


Partners are encouraged to take part and make their views known at all stages of the community safety review process.
