Pupils at Primary school

There is no school uniform grant available for children at primary school level, however, your Locality Team has a small discretionary fund which can be used to help with school clothing. For information, call your Locality Team office.

Year 6 pupils going into Year 7 (starting secondary school)

If your child is entitled to free school meals and will be attending a Hampshire County Council school excluding academies* OR lives in Hampshire but will be attending a non-academy school outside of Hampshire's administrative area, he/she will also be entitled to a school uniform grant on transfer to secondary school in September. Secondary school uniform grants for the school year beginning September 2012 are available now. Detailed information about applying for the grant is on the form. You can either collect an application form from your child's school or download the form, attached below:

Pupils in Year 7, 9 and 10

Grants are available for pupils in Years 7, Year 9 and Year 10. If your child is entitled to free school meals and attends a Hampshire secondary school, excluding academies* OR lives in Hampshire but attends a non-academy school outside of Hampshire's administrative area, he/she will also be entitled to a school uniform grant. You can obtain a form direct from the school office (of a Hampshire school) or download the form, attached below:

The value of the grant is currently £61.25. Payment is made by cheque.

* Academies make their own arrangements for uniform grants. An academy does not need to have 'Academy' in its name, so, if in doubt, please contact the school to check if it has academy status.

Pupils in Year 8 or Year 11

There is no school uniform grant for pupils in these year groups.
