Hampshire Talented Athlete Scheme
Competing at the highest level in any sport is an expensive business. Travel, equipment, training, coaching and physiotherapy – the costs soon add up. The Hampshire Talented Athlete (HTAS) Scheme is a support programme designed to give Hampshire’s most talented young athletes access to as much support as possible so that they can reach their full potential. To qualify for HTAS you will be: aged between 11 and 25; a resident of Hampshire, including Southampton and Portsmouth; supported by your Governing Body of Sport or your Hampshire School Sports Association; and able to demonstrate that you are performing at national competition level.
Full details of the scheme, including an application form, can be found on the website at: www.sporthampshireiow.co.uk/fundingsupport/funding-and-support-htas.htm
Awards are made annually in September. The deadline applications is 1 August. For further information contact Carole Warmington Tel: 01962 845355.
