Important dates to remember
Starting school (Year R) and transferring to junior school (Year 3)
By Friday 16 November 2007 (by 12 o’clock midday) parents must return the application form (CR2) to their first preference infant or primary school for Year R or to their present infant school for transfer to junior school (CJ2), or apply on-line.
Friday 25 January 2008 - Single Offer Date
All parents will be sent a letter (by first class post from the local authority) telling them the name of the infant/primary/junior school at which their child has been allocated a place. Individual schools will not be able to inform parents of the outcome of their application.
Transfer to secondary school
By Friday 19 October 2007 (by 12 o’clock midday) parents must have applied on-line or ensure that the common application form (CAF) is received:
by their child’s current school or
by the admissions team if the child attends an independent school or a school in another authority.
Monday 3 March 2008 - Single Offer Date
All parents will be sent a letter (by first class post from the local authority) telling them the name of the secondary school at which their child has been allocated a place.
Individual schools will not be able to inform parents of the outcome of their application.

If you are applying for a school in another authority, you must get that authority’s brochure to ensure that you have all the information you need for that application.
