Timeline - Admission to Year R & Year 3
It is very important that your application is submitted online or the completed application form reaches the County Admissions Team or a Hampshire school by midnight on Sunday 15 January 2012 at the very latest.
01 November 2011 -online application system opens
Paper application forms and brochures are available upon request from the County Admissions Team
Sunday 15 January 2012 (by midnight) - Deadline for Year R applications (to an infant or primary school) and Year 3 applications (to a junior school).
The online application system will close on this date. Parents wishing to apply after the deadline will need to use a paper application form.
17 February 2012 - Final date for changes to on-time applications.
If you provide evidence to the Admissions Team of a significant change of circumstances (usually a change of address) you may make a change to an on-time application until this date.
Thursday 19 April 2012 - On-time applicants will be notified by Hampshire County Council of the outcome of their applications.
Online applicants will receive this notification by email and parents who submitted paper applications will be sent a letter on 19 April 2012 by first-class post. Letters will also be sent to online applicants who were not offered a place at their first preference school.
Thursday 03 May 2012 - Offer date for late applications.
Notification letters will be sent, by first-class post, to parents who submitted late applications by this date. Late applications after 19 April must be made direct to schools. Forms are obtainable from schools, the County Admissions Team or available for print from the web page: Applying for a school place now These applications will be processed by schools as received.
Thursday 03 May 2012 - Waiting lists will be established.
A waiting list will be maintained for each oversubscribed school.
