Hepatitis in the UK

The Health Protection Agency Annual Report published December 2008.

This year marks a new milestone in the efforts to combat Hepatitis C infection across the United Kingdom. Following the publication of plans to prevent, diagnose and treat Hepatitis C in each country of the UK, they have extended the report to include work being carried out in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. This is therefore the first UK report on Hepatitis C; we hope it will encourage the sharing of good practice across the country and help to provide a focus for professionals and patients.
