The Themed Papers

Members of the Commissioning Board have met with colleagues from all agencies and produced Themed Papers for consultation, these reports are now ready for distribution. The themes cover both administration and service delivery. Each of the service delivery papers is supported by a 'mini' version of the the Strategic Review Information Pack (SRIP) containing only that information relevant to that paper.

Other papers have been discussed but are postponed for a number of reasons. Further information will be posted as the review progresses.

A proposed paper on Public Confidence is being postponed because the relevant Local Area Agreement [LAA] target is being delayed. There are difficulties with the survey needed to agree a baseline target.

It is expected that forthcoming changes in legislation and government guidance will have a likely impact on work with 13 to 18 year olds on the cusp of the Criminal Justice System. As a result, that paper is being deferred.

Following recent events, the issue of Safeguarding has become ever more important for vulnerable adults as much as for children. Work on bringing together Adult Services Safeguarding issues, with CDRP work around Domestic Abuse and other victim support issues, has only just begun following the appointment of an Adult Services Safeguarding Manager. As a result, it is too early to produce a report for this review.

The Commissioning Board will produce papers on the above themes in due course.
