Living and working in the New Forest

  • The district of the New Forest is one of the largest districts in Hampshire, and is home to around 179,000 people.

    Once a royal hunting ground for William the Conqueror, part of the New Forest was designated a National Park in 2005 and its countryside and animals are protected.

    The area offers beautiful countryside as well as traditional villages, including Beaulieu, Brockenhurst and Lyndhurst – with many shops and places to eat and drink. The attractive coastline is home to the popular coastal destinations of Barton-on-Sea, Milford-on-Sea and Keyhaven.
