Living and working in Rushmoor

  • The borough of Rushmoor is situated in the north of Hampshire in the heart of the Blackwater Valley, neighbouring the boroughs of Hart, Surrey Heath, Guildford and Waverley.

    Rushmoor is one of the smaller boroughs in Hampshire, but still boasts a population of around 95,000. It includes the towns of Aldershot - the home of the British Army and Farnborough - the birthplace of British aviation and home to the Farnborough International Airshow.

    The area enjoys open countryside, beautiful woodlands and excellent sporting facilities as a result of its military heritage and the Basingstoke Canal runs through it. With so much on offer, it’s a great place for all ages to get active.

    Rushmoor’s leisure facilities include a ski centre, sports centres, museums, parks, bowling alleys, nature reserves, historic sites and entertainment and arts venues.
