Job/Person Summary

We are looking for an HLTA who has:
• Ambition and drive to make a difference for all the children at Shamblehurst.
• Up-to-date knowledge of the primary curriculum, especially upper Key Stage 2 maths and English.
• A passion and excitement for teaching and learning.
• An ability to think on your feet and adapt plans where necessary.
• Is able to use initiative to assess and evaluate pupils needs within lessons.
• Is able to communicate effectively with class teachers .
• Energy, commitment and a great sense of humour.
• GCSEs in Maths and English grade C or above.
• An HLTA qualification.
• The ability to weave magic!

We would particularly be interested in any candidates who are passionate and committed to The Arts or could offer a language provision as either PPA provision or as an extra-curricular opportunity.

Shamblehurst Primary have attended the 02 this year with our Young Voices Choir, were Junior Rock Challenge finalists, having won the second Portsmouth heat as well as partaking in The BBC Ten Pieces project every year.
The HLTA role in our school will be based in Key stage 1 and 2.
