Graduate Teacher Programme

The Graduate Teacher Programme (GTP) is a one year full-time employment based route into teaching, leading to the award of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

You may either train to teach the full curriculum across two consecutive age ranges at Primary level, or your subject specialism across two consecutive key stages at Secondary level.

Hampshire County Council has joined forces with The University of Reading, an Accredited Provider, resulting in a number of places on the Graduate Teacher Programme being allocated specifically to those interested in training and working in Hampshire schools.
