Advert Amendments

When requesting amendments to adverts, the School Recruitment & Development Team prefer to receive email amendments: eps-recruitment@hants.gov.uk . Please supply us with the vacancy ID eg. 000123 along with what you would like the changes to be. This can also apply for extending the closing date on the advert rather than having to resubmit the advert.

Advertising in the Times Educational Supplement (TES) and Other Publications

LawtonWare is a specialist recruitment advertising agency and works in partnership with Hampshire Education to handle advertising requirements.

Through the agency purchasing contract, you can obtain discounts which are passed back to you in full. These would not be available if you booked direct.

TES - 7% off standard rates
All other Press - 3% off standard rates

The rates and deadlines for the TES are as follows:

The TES have reduced the cost of adverts appearing in the paper publication but have introduced a mandatory basic charge for a text only advert to appear on the TES website.

Adverts are charged using Single Column Centimetre (SCC) rates.

The current rate for a mono version is £25 per SCC, which for a 13x3 will have a cost of £975, however in addition there is a mandatory £250 basic internet charge on every advert; web listings are no longer free of charge.

For adverts in colour the SCC the current rate is £35 per SCC, but again the compulsory £250 for the internet is in addition to this.

This also includes Lineage and Semi Display adverts as well. Lawton Ware are unable to provide you costs for your lineage advert prior to the papers publication, so please bear in mind that for every lineage and semi display cost there is the additional £250 charge for it to appear on the TES website.

For composite (multiple vacancy adverts) there will be a charge of £500 for the internet.

The TES also offer an online only option. Your advert can appear online only with a basic web listing for £200 per vacancy.

Since the revamp of the TES website they have been offering online Bronze, Silver and Gold packages, the charges for these packages are as follows:

Bronze = £200 (text listing only)
Silver = £450
Gold = £700

Readvertising in TES

Should you be unsuccessful in filling your vacant position you can re-advertise in the TES with a reduction of 15% if advertised within 4 weeks of the last advert appearing.

Deadlines

PLEASE BE AWARE, that due to high volumes of adverts that go into the TES and the strict TES deadlines, Lawton Ware must receive your advert by 4 pm on the Thursday, the week before insertion into the TES.
