Results of Training Survey Questionnaire
Summary of results from training survey.
The questionnaire was sent to all IPB and PB members. 167 forms were returned and you can see everything that was said excluding personal details by clicking here.
Overall the results confirmed that what we have done so far fits fairly well with peoples needs. There were significant groups wanting each of the timings suggested, although mornings and afternoons were most popular. We had not expected afternoon sessions to be attractive so will need to test this out for real with the next programme we offer.
All days of the week were popular apart from Friday so we will avoid Fridays in future. There was an equal split of people wanting several short sessions and those preferring one full day, and also between the different travel distances people were prepared to consider. We'll offer both types of opportunities to a range of venues.
All the training topics suggested were of interest but Quality and Performance, Finance, and Induction attracted the biggest groups.
Surprisingly work commitments, rather than childcare and travel were seen as the biggest barrier to attending training. This may reflect the fact that many centres currently have more practitioners on their IPBs than community or parent members. We'll keep an eye on this and see whether it changes as permanent Partnership Boards are set up.
There were lots of questions and comments. Some of the questions will be answered through training sessions but we will also develop a Frequently Asked Questions section on their website for you to use. It was good to have positive comments about the survey itself and the training attended. Thank you to all who took part.
