Exclusion Practice and Procedures [GT120]
Who will benefit? Governors, clerks (particularly those likely to be involved in pupil discipline hearings) and headteachers from all schools.
What will you learn? You will find out about: current legislation on behaviour and discipline, good practice in handling pupil exclusion cases, current statutory processes, the role of the headteacher, the role of the governing body governor discipline committee and the role of the Local Authority. This course will have regard to the most recent national and local guidance issued to schools.
