History Curriculum Centre

The History Curriculum Centre offers resources for history from Foundation Stage to Key Stage 4. We are currently extending our range of historical artefact collections, teaching resource packs and lessons to include resources for the 2014 curriculum – some are already available. We recommend visiting this website regularly to check out our latest offerings.

As always, our new packs and lessons reflect current best practice in history and will ensure your history teaching is both engaging and effective.

Our artefact collections put the wow factor into most history topics, engaging pupils and making them eager to learn. We can arrange for them to be delivered direct to schools, but this will require an extended loan to accommodate the courier transfers at either end of the loan.

What other services does the History Curriculum Centre provide?

  • Has a reference collection of history from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 4.
  • Contact details for guidance and resources from other providers and for enrichment purposes.
  • A telephone reference point for advice about issues concerning history.
  • Can offer a venue for teachers to use when updating their curriculum or planning.
  • Free loan service of DVDs for some historical periods (subscribers only).

  • What do schools say about the History Curriculum Centre’s resources?

“We are grateful for the artefacts which help to bring our topics alive. Thank you.”
    Morelands Primary School

“All the artefacts inspired our children. Thank you very much for the beautiful collection – well worth the money!”
    Hook Junior School
