It seems so much work. How on earth am I going to manage this?


That's the whole point, you manage it. What you do not do is take on all the work yourself! Apart from it being far too much, you would be missing the point. The requirement of a whole-school approach remains central to the programme. The whole-school community (pupils, staff, parents, governors and community partners) should be invited to take part in auditing, action planning, policy development and physical, social and cultural activity. You will engage a team of enthusiastic people from these groups to steer your school's progress in a forward direction. Not only will it be less work for you but it will gather momentum, be exciting and ultimately rewarding for all. Remember, it is the Healthy Schools Award, not the Healthy Schools Manager Award!
