Personal, social and health education (PSHE) (including alcohol, tobacco and volatile substance abuse)
To ensure that:
- pupils are provided with the knowledge, understanding, skills and attitudes to make informed decisions about their lives
- key staff receive appropriate continued professional development (CPD) opportunities and support to deliver, assess, monitor and evaluate a planned programme of PSHE in line with relevant Department for Education (DfE previously DCSF) and Qualificaitons and Curriculum Development Agency (QCA) guidance.
PSHE contributes significantly to all five national outcomes for children: being healthy, staying safe, enjoying and achieving, making a positive contribution and economic well-being.
