What’s new
Welcome to the redesigned HIAS website
We hope you like our new look. Over the coming term we will be revamping all of the pages within each part of our website – so by the end of term it will all be in the new style. If you would like to offer any feedback on our site, then we would be pleased to hear from you. Send your comments to the HIAS Publications Team

A familiar face is also back with us for a few terms – Pauline Bentote is back with the SEN Team.
In the Primary Phase Team, Catherine Redgrave has now joined us permanently. Julie Wilding has relinquished her role as District Manager but continues to work for HIAS as a Primary Phase Inspector, for the interim period, Sandy Keefe, currently one of our Primary Phase Inspectors will be acting District Manager for Havant.
We are also very please to say that Karen Nye has been appointed District Manager for Basingstoke and Deane, and has taken over this role with immediate effect.
The vacant district manager role for Winchester is still being covered within the team, but from Easter Matthew Haynes will be taking up the reins.
Leah Crawford, currently a Secondary English Consultant, will be taking the role of Inspector/Adviser for English (still in the Fleet area) from 22 February 2010.
Two existing colleagues have been seconded into additional roles from this term, Annette Welfare and Chris Martin will be sharing the new role of Secondary Strategy and Resources Managers.
Sadly we will be saying goodbye to a few colleagues this term. Sue Buckingham (English Inspector/Adviser) at the end of February, as is Liz Statham (Head of EMTAS). And you may have heard that Muriel Rayer, who had been away from the PDL Team for some time, sadly passed away at the start of this year.
Two members of the team have recently gone off on maternity leave until the end of the year – Lisa Marie Smith and Shelley Colby. Lisa Marie's work will be covered by her colleagues in the LBA Team, and Sam Francis will be joining the PDL Team to cover Shelley's absence.
