Mini-V is an innovative way to introduce primary school children to string instruments by playing in a string ensemble.
Based on the Venezuelan ‘El Sistema’ model for social change, Mini-V is an after school project that promotes team building, responsibility, confidence, and a sense of belonging and pride.
The children have the opportunity to learn the violin, viola, cello or double bass. They learn their instruments together, play as a team from day one, and give short weekly performances.
