Drum Club

Now during the holidays!

Drum Club is a fun after school drum club for children aged 7-11 years. The children learn about rhythm and teamwork, and build their confidence and ability to concentrate. It is run by a Hampshire Music Service world music specialist, with a short performance to parents every five weeks.

New instruments are offered each half term from a range including:

  • Djembe: pulsating grooves of West African drums

  • Cajón: unique sit-on box drum

  • Udu: amazing clay pot drums from Nigeria

  • Snare drums: let the sticks lead the way

  • African: haunting sounds of North African drums

  • Samba: vibrant carnival music of Brazil

  • Doumbek: learn to play this nimble goblet drum

  • Dhol: bang out the bhangra with the Punjabe drum
