Drum box or electronic metronome - for building technique. Built in to keyboards
Using an amplifier? - get a Power Breaker - if anything goes wrong, it cuts off the power before you get a shock
Playing in a band? - wear earplugs, or you'll damage your hearing
Electronic tuner - it takes practice to tune up without one. Multieffects have one built in / tuition CDs give tuning notes
You Will Be Expected To:
Practice for a minimum of 20-30 mins per day, every day, and record it in your record book
Keep music sheets in your ring binder and bring them to every lesson
Make sure you understand the timetable - lessons times vary each week
Arrange absences from other classes, return promptly to them, and make up any work missed
If you miss any lessons, find out that week's practice and do it
THE AMOUNT YOU LEARN DEPENDS ON THE PRACTICE YOU DO ON YOUR OWN - IT IS NOT ENOUGH JUST TO COME TO THE LESSONS
