Clubs and activities
Most schools offer a wide variety of clubs and acivities, before, during and after the school day. These vary from school to school. Most school websites list the clubs and activities they offer and the times at which they take place .Some schools also offer holiday play schemes.
Breakfast clubs
Some schools offer students a breakfast before the start of the school day.
School maintenance grants
Grants are available for students aged between 16 - 19 who attend a community (LEA) maintained school sixth-form and whose parents are on a low income.

The availability of nurses working in schools varies from school to school.
Moving from Infant to Junior school or Junior/Primary to Secondary school
Schools organise visits and information to students. Some schools have a buddy system to make the move easier for younger students.
Pupil records
The governing body is responsible for a pupil's educational record being made available for their parent to see, free of charge, within fifteen school days of receipt of the parent's written request.
