Hampshire Olympic Conference 2011 - Wednesday 22nd June (Archive)
The Rose Bowl, Southampton
As the excitement mounts in respect of the London Olympics, so do the questions as to how can we use this once in a lifetime opportunity to create a legacy within our schools.
The Hampshire 2012 Olympic Conference held on June 22nd at the Rose Bowl looked at this question and that of how can we use the Games to inspire young people and to impact on learning across the curriculum.
Steve Backley, OBE, Olympic Medalist and former World Record Holder, opened the event and gave an inspiring and illuminating talk on his career which set the tone for our 160 teachers and head teachers from across the curriculum and county to enjoy a valuable, practical and enjoyable day gaining lots of ideas to take back into their schools.Presentation - The Games of the XXXth Olympiad 3mb
