Outdoor Leader Training

Hampshire has pioneered the development of this leader award.  It is now becoming increasingly available across the country.  It supports off-site activity in varied open country environments, as well as acting as a generic leader award, covering as it does many of the good practice factors that educational visit management requires.

The one-day training focuses on group management, risk-benefit assessment and risk management, involving practical activity and the safe use of throw-bags.  The course is regularly updated (most recently in 2011) to reflect current good practice.
