Orienteering
Orienteering activities have many ways of contributing to a planned curriculum or programme of work, for example:
- children following trails and learning to become familiar with their environment and each other
- simple problem solving orientation activities, for their own sake or to practice geographical skills and understanding
- units of work in physical education at any key stage
- an exciting and relatively easily resourced group activity
- an introduction to a sport with all levels of competition.
