Mission Statement
Place2learn is part of the Education and Inclusion service (EIS) and aims to provide lessons in the core curriculum (English, Maths and Science) for pupils in KS3 and KS4 who find it hard to access mainstream school.
The service aims to support each individual student to prepare them for reintegration back into school or into any other form of EIS provision.
Specifically, Place2Learn aims:
To further develop the students' self-esteem and self belief in order to enable learning to take place.
To provide the first step to educational provision
To provide added value for pupils that are unable to access full-time education
To provide students with the opportunity to interact with their peer group through the use of conferencing
To work with parents/guardians and a range of agencies:
.To ensure that the pupils can access the resources at their own level and according to their individual needs
.To support the students as they begin e-learning and during the transition period back into mainstream education.
