Display energy certificates
From 1 October 2008, Government legislation requires all public buildings frequently used by members of the public to display operational energy consumption data known as the Display Energy Certificate (DEC).
A further refinement of this legislation for 2010/11 means all buildings in excess of 1000m2 on campus sites must have an individual DEC. Our buildings record shows that this will apply to a further 160 school buildings across the County Council's estate and will therefore bring the total number to 512.
As part of their ongoing energy management provision in the current Service Level Agreement, Property Services will continue to provide the DECs to schools.
