Stubbington Study Centre

Accessibility

Chaingangs

At Stubbington Study Centre we aim to ensure that all children are included in our activities. Our activities can be adapted to suit the needs of the children visiting, and we work collaboratively with visiting staff to understand these needs.

The Grounds

At Stubbington we have a vast outdoor area. A lot of the grounds are easily accessible to all. However, dependant on weather, the grounds become very muddy making it harder to move around for wheelchairs. If visitors may encounter problems with accessibility, we would welcome, and also recommend, a pre-visit to discuss this with centre staff.

Classrooms

Our classrooms are accessible by ramp, allowing access to wheelchair users. Activities can also be adapted to suit the needs of visiting groups.

Accessible Accomodation

Accommodation

Two of our four dormitories are accessible by ramp for wheelchairs, one in the boys and one in the girls. We also have separate accommodation in the clinic for visitors who need access to a disabled toilet/shower facility or constant one to one care. This also has a linked room to accommodate a member of staff accompanying the child.
