The independent Local Government Boundary Commission for England (LGBCE) is responsible for carrying out reviews of council electoral ward boundaries. The reviews aim to make local elections fairer by ensuring that all councillors represent a similar number of people across the borough or district and that the council has the appropriate number of councillors to represent the area effectively.
