Accessible services and information
In order to ensure our services are accessible to everyone we will on request:
provide information in a different language
provide information in formats such as easy read, braille, large print, audio CD, British Sigh Language signed video
provide foreign or sign language interpreters for meetings.
We will also ensure that our buildings meet disability access guidelines.
This guide is aimed at front line care professionals in Hampshire and outlines the cultural needs of the existing communities of the area. The principles of culturally appropriate care are:
- avoid discrimination
- be open about cultural diversity
- avoid stereotyping
- communicate well
