Corporate Action Plans

To achieve the equalities goals required by the County Council's corporate objectives, a corporate action plan is needed. The primary objectives of the corporate action plan are:

  • to progress equalities in relation to improved access to services and facilities and in employment and career progression;

  • to develop partnerships with other public bodies, local authorities and voluntary services to share and promote equality;

  • to assist and advise departments in putting together specific, measurable, actionable, realistic and time-bound equality Action Plans;

  • to communicate equalities issues and policies to all staff and to raise awareness of equalities issues as required and necessary;

Copies of the Action Plan are held in each department and are updated regularly.
