County Farms

The County Farm Team primarily manage the 1,971 hectare (4,870 acre) farm Estate. There are 69 holdings of which 38 are termed as fully equipped with house, land and buildings. There are 352 buildings on the Estate. The Estate is the 17th largest English Shire (2006) estate. The Team also manages potential development land near Basingstoke on behalf of Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council and the County Council. One area of work is that we provide independent planning advice to local planning authorities on agricultural planning applications. The team also provides advice to all Departments who have agricultural land holdings within their portfolios.
