    About the Course

Research shows that taking up a hobby/ form of art can help, amongst other things, depression, anxiety, stress, low self esteem, insomnia and raising levels of happiness.

In the first session we will look at the Fauvist style of bright and colourful paintings. Week 2 we will look at pen and watercolour paintings, We will also look at black and white work of an artist and also the mixed media work from another artists.

Please bring with you: A variety of pictures of animals (pets, farm animals or more exotic creatures!) Please bring something to draw on, either board, paper or canvas, A4 or A3, a drawing pencil and eraser and some colour. Acrylics would be great, if you have them. If not, pastels or watercolours.

I am happy to lend you equipment at the cost of 2 per session. Come with old clothes, an open mind and a willingness to maybe try something new!
