Administers the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).

Administers support for approximately 20,000 students.

Provide internal audit service.

Statement of Accounts
Following the end of each financial year the County Council publishes an annual Statement of Accounts.

Retail Prices Index (RPI) and
Consumer Price Index (CPI)
Since 2003 the CPI is used as the main measure of inflation in the economy rather than the RPI.
