What can Hampshire Audit Services offer?

Hampshire Audit Services is one of the largest public sector internal audit practices in the region. We provide a wide range of services to many external organisations as well as all departments of the County Council, resulting in an interesting and varied workload. We specialise in the provision of quality internal audit services and we have an established and growing reputation as internal audit experts across the public sector.

Within Audit Services there are opportunities to get involved and contribute to significant audit developments for the benefit of staff and customers in a forward thinking local authority and our aim is to attract a high calibre finance and audit personnel who want a challenge.

Appointments are made to the section and not to specific teams to enable flexible working arrangements. We assign customer responsibilities depending on the skills and competencies of our staff and on their preferred working patterns.

As a valued member of the audit team you will be encouraged and supported to study relevant qualifications such as Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT), Chartered Institute for Professional Accountants (CIPFA) or Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). We believe in investing in our staff and retaining the experience they have gained with us.

Successful completion of vocational qualifications is one of the criteria used to assess candidates for appointment or progression. Audit Services also has a clear set of progression criteria outlining the skills and experience that staff require for each of the posts within the section.
