Investing in the future
In 2005/06, we will spend £85m on school building projects including starting work on a new secondary school (John Hunt of Everest, Basingstoke) the provision of sports facilities at Crestwood Community School in Eastleigh.
£53m will be spent improving local transport and Hampshire's roads.
The Social Care capital budget includes funding for work on 10 new nursing homes providing 500 new nursing home places across the County.
£1m from the Waste management budget will be spent on improving your local Household Waste Recycling Centres.
