2012/13 Budget and council tax
The budget for 2012/13 was set at the County Council meeting on 23 February 2012 and was based on a recommendation of the Cabinet at its meeting on 3 February 2012.
The budget decrease for 2012/13 is around 2%. There will be no increase in the County Council’s portion of the Council Tax in 2012/13. It will be frozen at 2010/11 levels, funded by an additional one off government grant.

2011/12 Budget and council tax
The budget for 2011/12 was set at the County Council meeting on 24 February 2011 and was based on a recommendation of the Cabinet at its meeting on 11 February 2011.
The budget decrease for 2011/12 is 3.5%. There will be no increase in the County Council’s portion of the Council Tax in 2011/12. It will be frozen at 2010/11 levels, funded by an additional government grant.
2010/11 Budget and council tax
The budget for 2010/11 was set at the County Council meeting on 18 February 2010 and was based on a recommendation of the Cabinet at its meeting on 4 February 2010.
The budget increase for 2010/11 is 2.3%. This results in a council tax rise of 1.9%. The council tax remains among the lowest of county councils in England.

The budget for 2009/10 was set at the County Council meeting on 19 February 2009 and was based on a recommendation of the Cabinet at its meeting on 6 February 2009.
The budget increase for 2009/10 is 2.3%. This results in a council tax rise of 1.9%. The council tax remains among the lowest of County Councils in England.
