These session are to help trustees and staff keep up to date with ever changing legislation and systems. They will run for an hour each with a half hour break for questions. There will be two briefings at each session.

ISA/CRB

The Government has revised the structure and requirements for registration for working the children and vulnerable persons. The new process will come into force in 2012.

Licensing

Charitable Incorporated Organisations and Pension Reform

The Charities Act 2006 introduced a new format for incorporation for charities (Charitable Incorporated Organisation) This is an alternative route to incorporation to using the Companies House process. It will be operated through the Charity Commission and will be free of charge. It is anticipated to be available in the first half of 2011.

Pension Reform - From 2012 employers will have a duty to automatically enrol eligible workers into a qualifying workplace pension scheme. This will be phased in but organisations need to plan now.
