Purpose of the Network
- To enable Community Associations in Gosport to work together to develop their knowledge and expertise.
- To share good practice and policies with each other.
- To identify, and develop, joint projects that will be of benefit to some, or all, of the Network members.
- To improve communication throughout the community sector in Gosport and facilitate cooperation, joint action and collaboration between member organisations.
Membership
- Initially membership of the Network will be open to Community Associations operating in Gosport.
- Representation on the Network will be open to both trustees and staff of the member organisations.
- Only one representative of each member organisation will be entitled to vote at Network meetings. The identity of the individual nominee, from each member organisation, must be notified to the Chairperson prior to the commencement of each meeting.
Operational
- The meetings will move round community centres in the district, meeting every other month.
- The host centre will chair and the minutes to be taken by the following venue.
- The host association will provide a meeting room free of charge, Hampshire County Council and Winchester City Council will support administratively if necessary.

Borough Networks
Bringing together trustees and staff from all community associations within boroughs.
Terms of reference vary for each network as they have been set by the participants. These networks allow for an element of training or briefing and an opportunity to network with other local community associations.
